Notchview includes 3,100 acres of rolling terrain used for cross-country skiing, hiking and other activities. The Trustees of Reservations is able to serve all their electric needs for western Massachusetts via net metering from this project. The four dual-axis trackers are located right off the trails and provide the balance of high visibility with minimal land area usage that the Trustees desired.
